December 6, 2020Q&A with Karol Molle, Branch Manager, 26 years

At PEFCU, we are proud of what each of our employees brings to our Credit Union. We are especially proud to showcase the employees who have contributed to our organization for years. When our employees love PEFCU enough to stay with us, it shows that we have a lot to offer.

One of those employees is Karol Molle, our Altamonte Springs Branch Manager, who has been with PEFCU for 26 years. We hosted Q &A with Karol to find out why PEFCU won her heart. Check out the interview below:

Q: Why did you choose to join the PEFCU team?

A: In 1994, I had the opportunity to join the PEFCU team. I worked for 17 years with Publix Super Markets, Inc. (Publix) from 1975 to 1992. As a new mother, I retired from Publix to stay home with my baby girl. Then, an opportunity presented itself, and I was offered the position at PEFCU. I was thrilled! Having a traditional work schedule with nights and weekends off worked perfectly for my new family

Having many years of service with Publix already, it felt like I was coming home againwhere I needed to be. I never dreamed it would lead to me becoming a branch manager all these years later.

Q: What is your favorite animal? Why?

A: Mostly, I am a dog lover. I’ve had dogs most of my life. They are special and become part of the familyCurrently, I have a 15-year-old beagle who I met when she was two weeks old. I was fortunate enough to bring her home at eight weeks. She has been a joy in our lives ever since

Q: When did you know that you wanted to stay with PEFCU?

A: From the moment I was hired, I felt there could be longevity. I have been a member since 1975, so becoming an employee in 1994 was a great new direction for my career path. I had no idea at the time just how much. As a branch manager, being able to help members by offering financial knowledge and education is rewarding. I look back and am profoundly grateful for all the opportunities past, present, and future.

Q: What has PEFCU done for the community that makes you proud to work here?

A: I appreciate the generosity of PEFCUHelping our members in the Publix community is not our only focus, but we reach further to help all people in all areas. We have taken part in many fundraising events; including March of Dimes, American Cancer Society, Red Cross, local food banks, local children’s hospitals, and more. Over the years, we have been extraordinarily successful in giving back to our communities at each branch location

Q: What is your favorite thing about working at PEFCU right now?

A: The establishment of our People Development department is a new change within the last two yearsThe opportunity to develop and grow is more than I‘ve had before. It is eye-opening to reflect and learn to be flexible with new proceduresBeing given extraordinary access to learning new skills gives us the opportunity to become our best selvesThis will help our Credit Union continue to succeedThis makes me proud to be a part of PEFCU.

Tell us about your career path. Where do you see yourself in 26 years?
